THE wine
2023 was such a cool, steady vintage, we had the opportunity to pick for the balance we wanted, the structure we wanted. And we were blessed with a long hangtime to develop deep phenolics. The result is the most generous, texturally intense, and expressive Trailside to date. It’s full of black cherry perfume and hints of red roses, enhanced by a brushstroke of Petit Verdot from the northern corner of the vineyard. Fresh and harmonious, it will evolve for decades in the cellar.
